peace of mind

This exercise will give you peace of mind. Take your time with it, maybe spend a few days thinking it over.

It is taken directly from A Course in Miracles, which is a wonderful book about getting right in your mind and soul about spirituality.

This is lesson 34.

Step 1:

“I could see peace instead of this.”

Your subconscious/higher self/higher power will do the work if you are quiet and just let your thoughts flow.

So for today just write that at the top of the page and then slowly and calmly list out a few things, one at a time that are ongoing things that are bothering you. Write one and then read the quote at the top of the page. You can also use, “I could see peace in this situation instead of what I now see.” Or any variation of that phrase that fits what you are working with.

Step 2:

Allow your mind to let it sink in and you will probably already see it in a slightly different way. This exercise cracks open the door just a little to let in a shift in perception and perspective. Allow that shift to happen and you will be amazed at the creative way your mind will help you out to see things in a better way.

This exercise can help repair relationships, it can bring calm about a stressful situation, it can really shift your mind if you let it. It can cause solutions to problems to just pop out of “nowhere,” because you are opening you mind to divine help – all help really – when you say this.

I would say just work on a few things in the morning and a few things at night. And if you can get into the habit of saying this when things are upsetting you will feel so much better about everything in your life.

I hope this helps you have more peace of mind. It sure helps me!
