This week on Everyday Spiritual we’re talking about food and the fact that food is spiritual!

Food is the number one way ALL take in life force energy and use it to stay alive ourselves. Check out the  meditation from this week about food to see that for yourself. 🙂

To really look at our choices I find it’s good to write things down. This may seem like a very simple exercise but it is powerful.

On a piece of paper I want you to make two columns. As the header I want you to write, “When You Know Better You Do Better.”

In these two columns we’re going to write what you’ve known since you were born. But this time you won’t be able to turn a blind eye to it! You’re doing the exercise after all – right!?

In the first column I want you to write every junk food and fast food and sweet that tempts you – that you indulge in. And also I want you to write what you get out of each one (it’s probably more emotional than nutritional) and also write how you feel once it’s inside your body – both emotionally and physically.

In the second column do the same thing only with fruits and vegetables that you like to eat. Whole foods. This can include eggs and other foods as long as they are brightly colored and are not processed.

Write the name, what you get out of it, and how you feel once it’s inside your body.

Now look at your list and read the heading of your paper again!

BOOM!  🙂

I don’t think I need to explain much more. It should be pretty obvious.

I hope that when you combine this exercise with the meditation you find yourself naturally and internally inspired to make good choices for your body.
