feeling grateful

For today’s journal exercise we’re going to focus on the powerful feeling of gratefulness. The feeling of gratitude has a magnetic energy that can bring even more good things into your life. It is as if you are saying to the universe, “Yes, more of this please!”

Let’s get started. I want you to take a moment and look back on your life. Look at the really pivotal moments that changed your life forever. Who was involved with them? Was there someone in particular that helped you at some point in your life? Someone who changed the course of your life or helped you in an amazing way? Maybe directly or maybe just by being themselves?

Once you have your person in mind I want you to get out your journal and write the story of what happened and how they helped you. Write it as if you were telling someone else. Take your time and really talk about how they helped you, what changed in your life for the better during the story of what happened.

Next I want you to go to a blank page and write a letter thanking them. Even if they aren’t here in this world any longer – write it to them as if they were. Again, take your time and really let them know how it was when you needed the help and how it was when they gave it to you and then how your life was changed forever because of them.

It’s up to you if you want to give them a copy of this when you are done. My guess is that you might! 🙂 And I have a feeling that they would love to hear that something they did impacted you in such a positive way.

Science has proven that a sense of worth has huge health benefits and can help us feel important and like our life matters.

Have fun with this. Feeling grateful is one of the most powerful ways to harness the power of positivity in your life and get more of that positive energy flowing.

Peace – Sara
